(Un)Governed Spaces opening
(Un)Governed Spaces opened to a large crowd Tuesday night, with opening remarks by Gregory Thielker and Noah Coburn.
The pair talked briefly about the six year process from idea to reality. The focus of the talk lay on the impact of collaboration on the artistic and curatorial process and the development of multi-layered perspectives of Afghanistan and the surround area of the Bagram airbase.
The collaborative inclusion of both art and anthropology within the gallery space was explained as an effort to combine the best efforts of each discipline in an open-ended, non-linear format.
